Immunisation & Blood Tests

Immunisation

NHS staff may be exposed to infectious hazards during the course of their employment and in certain circumstances may also transmit infection to patients.
Under the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 and the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 (COSHH) employing NHS Health Boards have statutory responsibilities to protect staff from the risk of infection from biological agents. These responsibilities may be fulfilled, in part, by ensuring that appropriate immunisation is offered to staff and others who may be at risk. Consideration should also be given to offering immunisation to those working in NHS premises but not employed by the NHS (e.g. students, research workers and voluntary workers). Please access the tabs below for further information on the immunisations we undertake.
